What is Ventrilo?
Ventrilo is a program for the PC & Mac that allows people to talk to each other in real time with high quality audio. All you need to use ventrilo is an internet connection, the (free) ventrilo client, and a microphone. You will also need a ventrilo server, which is a program that runs on servers located in high bandwidth data centers which basically relays the audio from one computer to another.
